Exchange Email in the Cloud at UNC-CH using Microsoft Office 365

Come hear the latest from Stan Waddell, UNC-CH CTO, and Tim McGeary, Director of Library & Information Technology and Chair of the committee to explore using Exchange in the cloud. Learn the outcome of the initiative to consider moving from on-campus faculty and staff email to the Microsoft Office 365 cloud. The charge of the committee was to make a recommendation as to whether Exchange email could move to the Office 365 platform. In addition to Exchange, other services that are available in Office 365 were demonstrated last fall at the CTC retreat, and include SharePoint 2013, OneDrive (formerly known as SkyDrive Pro – a DropBox analog), MySite and NewsFeed (a private social networking platform that may be replaced by Yammer).
